 Hot Tub Specialty Operations Manager

Accountabilities:

 

Inventory Control:

bullet

Maintain & control the physical inventory levels, adjust order points to meet changing demand

bullet

Place timely inventory orders and follow up on quantities received and condition of inventory

bullet

Co-ordinate & supervise physical inventory counts & adjust quantities on hand in the computer

bullet

Research new suppliers and vendors and recommend vendor changes due to pricing and availability

bullet

Expand computerized inventory control from parts room into the service & delivery vehicles

bullet

Maintain existing and develop new inventory storage systems for easier locating & less damaged goods

bullet

Maintain serialized inventory and act as liaison for floor counts with flooring companies

bullet

Maintain on going training of field technicians, delivery technicians and counter & floor sales Team members with respect to proper inventory procedures including pricing, storage, rotation, protection from damage & maintaining inventory in a resalable condition.

Service Department:

bullet

Maintain and control all aspects of the in-store, Delivery and Field Service Departments

bullet

Receive incoming customer requests for deliveries and both warranty and non-warranty repairs

bullet

Schedule deliveries and repairs through the computerized scheduler & print work orders

bullet

Rearrange the daily schedule as new calls & cancellations are received and work is completed

bullet

Maintain radio contact with all delivery and field service technicians until they return to the store each evening 

bullet

Maintain all radio, cellular and pager equipment, arrange for repairs & new batteries as required

bullet

Process the previous days delivery and field service paper work and run invoices through the Point of Sales software

bullet

Maintain the field service invoice logs and have new invoices and logs printed as required

bullet

Support the in-store and field personnel with physical parts identification, pricing and vendor location both through the use of vendor catalogs and via the Internet

bullet

Continually update and maintain complete and accurate computerized customer records & supervise the maintenance of customer files

bullet

Act as ambassador and mediator with customers who have complaints concerning our service work

bullet

Use word processing to write letters to disgruntled customers, the Better Business Bureau, vendors, etc and to prepare for small claims court if we are not paid for work completed

bullet

Maintain on going training of field technicians & delivery technicians with respect to all aspects of their job, company policies, technical bulletins,  product & policy changes and safety training

bullet

Arrange reservations, accommodations & for transportation to training for service personnel

bullet

Study, recommend and develop new and better systems and procedures for the Service Department

Building & Equipment Maintenance:

bullet

Monitor & maintain to "Disneyland standards" the landscaping, parking lot, building & mechanical systems

bullet

Monitor the company vehicles & equipment with respect to arranging regularly scheduled manufacturer's vehicle service, vehicle washing, tire rotation and replacement, vehicle lettering, etc.

bullet

Monitor and have repaired company equipment damaged during the course of our day to day work operations

bullet

Study, recommend and develop new and better systems and procedures for required maintenance

Required Experience:

bullet

Five years minimum hands on computerized inventory control experience

bullet

Five to ten years hands on repair experience in the hot tub and spa industry with pool experience a plus

bullet

Five to ten years hands on experience with Sundance Spas a real plus

bullet

Five to ten years hands on retail and customer service experience

bullet

Minimum high school diploma and some college or a college degree a plus

bullet

Certificates showing training experience, awards and qualifications earned

bullet

Fork lift or other similar machinery driving

bullet

Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office Software; Word, Outlook, Excel & POS and inventory software

Personal Abilities:

Able to maintain your personal appearance neatly shaven & clothed & your personal hygiene kept healthy

bullet

Able to be the Team motivator and effective Team Leader so daily Team goals are

bullet

Able to receive, organize and process large quantities of incoming data even with frequent interruptions

bullet

Able to pick-up where you left off and to keep working towards the completion of any project on time

bullet

Able to recognize and a burning desire to produce only top quality workmanship & professional customer relations & able to teach those skills to Team members

bullet

Able to effectively communicate verbally, in writing & by email

bullet

Desire to work towards an ownership interest and the rewards ownership brings

Compensation:

        Salary based on experience
