Accountabilities:
|
Spa Deliveries &
Start-Up:
|
 |
Cover for Delivery
Technician during vacations and illness |
|
 |
Collect Daily
Delivery Schedule & each Bill of Lading for today's deliveries
|
|
 |
Call the customers
& go over their pre-delivery preparations & time delivery is
scheduled |
|
 |
Load spa and other
items purchased and drive to delivery site arriving on time |
|
 |
With the customer's
help unload the spa and other items and set them up on the customer's deck
|
|
 |
Verify that the
pre-wiring is correct and to code and test and hook spa up to wiring
|
|
 |
Install and test any
accessory items purchased while spa is filling with water |
|
 |
Police the delivery
area for delivery debris, straighten up delivery area and load packaging
back on truck |
|
 |
Test spa for all
functions & show customer spa operation, chemicals and maintenance
procedures |
|
 |
Collect required
signatures and any balance owed on contract |
|
 |
Drive back to store
and place delivery papers into an envelope and into the safe |
|
 |
Unload spa packaging
into Dumpsters, clean & wash truck & trailer if necessary
|
|
 |
Prepare for the next
delivery as above |
|
 |
Practice with and
become fluid in the delivery paper work & presenting the various
customer training segments |
|
 |
Monitor and have
repaired company equipment damaged during the course of our day to day
operations |
|
 |
Keep tires properly
inflated, tire chains repaired, the delivery carts, straps and other
equipment in good working condition |
|
 |
Notify the Operations
Manager when trucks require serviced as per vehicle manufacturers
recommendations |
|
 |
Be able to effectively
teach Spa Delivery Technician Trainees on all phased of the Delivery &
Start-Up position |
|
Shipping &
Receiving:
|
 |
Cover for Delivery /
Shipping & Receiving Technician during vacations and illness |
|
 |
Hold and continue to
hold both a valid Nevada Driver's license and an OSHA Approved fork lift
truck operators certificate |
|
 |
Have and continue to
maintain a clean driving record |
|
 |
Safely &
efficiently operate the fork lift truck to load & unload shipments of
spas and other items from common carriers |
|
 |
Thoroughly examine
all incoming shipments for freight damage and if damage is detected notify
the truck driver and your supervisor before signing the Bill of Lading and
before delivery man leaves our store |
|
 |
Carefully count the
quantities of all incoming items and compare to our purchase order,
packing list on the incoming shipment and freight company's Bill of
Lading. Don't sign until the counts agree or shortages are so noted on
the Bill of Lading |
|
 |
Check-off each item
on the our Bill of Lading for out-going shipments with truck drivers or
customers & obtain signatures
to verify all items listed are shipping & in good condition
|
|
 |
Stock within the
warehouse to the proper locations hot tubs, covers, gazebos, decks, steps,
lifters, chemicals and other palletized and non-palletized shipments
|
|
 |
Help load customer
vehicles with items they are picking up from the warehouse |
|
 |
Unpack and place spas
on the sales floor at locations designated by the Floor Sales Manager
|
|
 |
Unpack, place on the
floor and help assemble gazebos and other showroom floor displays per Floor
Sales Manager's directions |
|
 |
Be able to help with
other shipping & receiving carried on UPS, FED-X, AIRBORNE, etc.
|
|
 |
Learn the computer
and become proficient with the customer records, inventory & shipping
& receiving modules |
|
Field Technician:
|
 |
Enjoy
our beautiful outdoors and be proficient working outside during all seasons
of the year |
|
 |
Be proficient in the
trouble shooting and repairs of Sundance, Sweetwater and other major brands
of hot tubs |
|
 |
Know from memory and
be able to practice the Sundance "STA" without help from others
|
|
 |
Study and learn our
geographical service area and all the time saving shortcuts during road
construction season and the winter months |
|
 |
Be able to group
service calls into geographical areas and to flow smoothly from job site to
job site without back tracking |
|
 |
Be able to replace
any piece of equipment, piping or fitting efficiently without call backs
|
|
 |
Be able to detect
multiple component failures & determine likely causes and appropriate solutions
|
|
 |
Be able to locate
needed parts from parts catalogs, the internet and verbally from suppliers
if necessary |
|
 |
Be able to supply our
order department with the catalog, page number, exact manufacturer's part
number, our vendor part number and our cost so that the proper parts can
be ordered |
|
 |
If a part is taking a
long time to receive check the vendor clip board or computerized order
software and bring it to the order departments attention |
|
 |
Be able to provide
the customer with a reasonable estimate of the cost of the repair and to
stop and notify the customer if other hidden and substantial problems are
found that will need your attention |
|
 |
Be fair with our
customers and if excessive time is spend on a diagnosis or you have to back
track discuss what is going on with your Service Manager |
|
 |
Report any accidental
damage to a customer's property and to your Service Manager immediately
|
|
 |
List all parts used
on all jobs even if you broke or ruined it and have to supply another for
free |
|
 |
Keep all parts on
your service truck properly packaged so as to remain in like new condition
until needed |
|
 |
Collect for all field
service COD unless specific signed written instructions to the contrary are
on your work order |
|
 |
Be on the look-out
for safety and building code violations and take appropriate steps to
correct the problems or notify the owners to contact the appropriate
contractor to have the problems corrected |
|
 |
Be able to check the
overall "health" of the hot tub system and to recommend
preventative maintenance when appropriate |
|
 |
Be able to leave the
customer a legible and detailed "Field Invoice" explaining what
you did & what they may need to do |
|
 |
Carry in your vehicle back-up accessories such as cover lifters, cover straps,
spare filters, filter soaking tanks and a small supply of chemicals & fragrances,
etc.
|
|
 |
Be able to explain
the benefits of these common accessories and sell them to customers desiring
to purchase |
|
 |
Carry also all the small
items occasionally missing from spas & accessories such as screws, light
bulbs, clips, fuses, etc. and those items such as o-rings, solvent cements,
pipe, common & specialty fittings |
|
 |
Be able to
effectively communicate any delivery or service problems with you supervisor
or the manufacturer |
|
 |
Educate, supervise
and critique new Spa Technicians & delivery personnel to the best of
your ability
|
|
 |
Communicate any
personality problems, breach of company policies or other improper Team
member behaviors to you supervisor |
|
 |
Become proficient
with the field service invoices, warranty tags and procedures |
|
Required Experience:
|
 |
Minimum High
school diploma or GED with some college a plus |
|
 |
Comfortable with the
computer and good computer skills with word processing & email
experience |
|
 |
Clean driving record
with five years minimum successful driving experience |
|
 |
Comfortable and
efficient driving the fork lift truck |
|
 |
Experienced driving a
vehicle while towing & backing a trailer and a spa dolly |
|
 |
Warehousing, shipping
and receiving experience a plus |
|
 |
Minimum three to five
years hot tub repair experience with pool repair experience a plus
|
|
 |
Hands on trouble
shooting, repair & warranty repair experience working on Sundance,
Sweetwater, Jacuzzi, Hot Springs, Coleman, Caldera, Dimension One, LA Spas,
Cal-Spas and Marquis spas and Balboa Controls a real plus |
|
 |
Minimum three to five
years hands on electrical and mechanical trouble shooting with electrical wiring
a plus |
|
 |
Minimum three to five
years hands on spa and or pool plumbing experience with landscape plumbing a
plus |
|
 |
Minimum three to five
years hands on retail and customer
care experience |
|
 |
Posses spa
manufacturer and equipment training certifications with the NSPI
Certification a real plus |
