Spa & Pool Table Delivery & Installation Technician & Spa/Billiard Repair Technician Trainee

Accountabilities:

Spa Deliveries & Start-Up:

bullet

Collect Daily Delivery Schedule & each Bill of Lading for today's deliveries

bullet

Call the customers & go over their pre-delivery preparations & time delivery is scheduled

bullet

Ask you customer for directions if your are not sure of the best route to the customer's home

bullet

Load spa and other items purchased and drive to delivery site arriving on time

bullet

With the customer's help unload the spa and other items and set them up on the customer's deck

bullet

Verify that the pre-wiring is correct and to code and test and hook spa up to wiring

bullet

Install and test any accessory items purchased while spa is filling with water

bullet

Police the delivery area for delivery debris, straighten up delivery area and load packaging back on truck

bullet

Test spa for all functions & show customer spa operation, chemicals and maintenance procedures

bullet

Collect required signatures and any balance owed on contract

bullet

Drive back to store and place delivery papers into an envelope and into the safe

bullet

Unload spa packaging into Dumpsters, clean & wash truck & trailer if necessary

bullet

Prepare for the next delivery as above

bullet

Practice with and become fluid in the delivery paper work & presenting the various customer training segments

bullet

Monitor and have repaired company equipment damaged during the course of our day to day operations

bullet

Keep tires properly inflated, tire chains repaired, the delivery carts, straps and other equipment in good working condition & report lost items to supervisor

bullet

Notify the Operations Manager when trucks require serviced as per vehicle manufacturers recommendations

Pool Table & Game Room Furniture Delivery and Installation:

bullet

Collect Daily Delivery Schedule & each Bill of Lading for today's deliveries

bullet

Call the customers & go over their pre-delivery preparations & time delivery is scheduled

bullet

Ask you customer for directions if your are not sure of the best route to the customer's home

bullet

Load Table & Furniture and other items purchased and drive to delivery site arriving on time

bullet

Evaluate Customer game room & discuss any issues that might make the installation better

bullet

Take table parts and furniture into game room and assemble the items at the agreed location

bullet

Once installation is complete along with your customer carefully examine table, furniture & accessories carefully going over each item to assure there are no damages or shortages.  Contact your supervisor & discuss any problems & together with your customer come up with a mutually agreeable solution and list same on Bill of Lading and obtain your customer's signature to show agreement with the corrective measures that will be taken

Police the delivery area for delivery debris, straighten up delivery area and load packaging back on truck

Remove the sharp edges on each cue stick tip & show the customer how to do this in the future

bullet

Explain how & when to brush and vacuum the table & how to blot a spill with cloth remnants

bullet

Show the customer that the table is level & explain how sitting, bumping or standing on the table can take it out of level.  Explain that the table can settle into a thick carpet for months

bullet

Collect required signatures and any balance owed on contract

bullet

Drive back to store and place delivery papers into an envelope and into the safe

bullet

Unload packaging into Dumpsters, clean & wash truck & trailer if necessary

bullet

Restock any consumable used back onto your truck and notify your supervisor if items are running low

bullet

Prepare for the next delivery as above

bullet

Practice with and become fluid in the delivery paper work & presenting the various customer training segments

bullet

Monitor and have repaired company equipment damaged during the course of our day to day operations

Delivery, Shipping & Receiving:

bullet

Hold and continue to hold both a valid Nevada Driver's license and an OSHA Approved fork lift truck operators certificate

bullet

Have and continue to maintain a clean driving record

bullet

Safely & efficiently operate the fork lift truck to load & unload shipments of spas, pool tables and other items from common carriers

bullet

Thoroughly examine all incoming shipments for freight damage and if damage is detected notify the truck driver and your supervisor before signing the Bill of Lading and before delivery man leaves our store

bullet

Carefully count the quantities of all incoming items and compare to our purchase order, packing list on the incoming shipment and freight company's Bill of Lading.  Don't sign until the counts agree or shortages are so noted on the Bill of Lading

bullet

Check-off each item on the our Bill of Lading for out-going shipments with truck drivers or customers & obtain signatures to verify all items listed are shipping & in good condition

bullet

Stock within the warehouse to the proper locations pool tables, furniture, hot tubs, covers, gazebos, decks, steps, lifters, chemicals and other palletized and non-palletized shipments

bullet

Help load customer vehicles with items they are picking up from the warehouse

bullet

Unpack and place spas & pool tables on the sales floor at locations designated by the Floor Sales Manager & hook-up or install as necessary

bullet

Unpack, place on the floor and help assemble gazebos and other showroom floor displays per Floor Sales Manager's directions

bullet

Be able to help with other shipping & receiving carried on UPS, FED-X, AIRBORNE, etc.

bullet

Learn the computer and become proficient with the customer records, inventory & shipping & receiving & service scheduling software modules

Spa / Billiard Repair Technician Trainee:

bullet

Carry in your delivery vehicle back-up accessories such as cover lifters, cover straps, spare filters, filter soaking tanks and a small supply of chemicals & fragrances, chalk & hardware packages, etc.

bullet

Be able to explain the benefits of these common accessories and sell them to customers desiring to purchase

bullet

Carry also the small items occasionally missing from spas, pool tables & accessories such as screws, light bulbs, clips, fuses, etc.

bullet

Be able to make spot repairs to hot tubs and accessories such as replacing a bad component, circuit board, panel, heater, flow switch, etc.  Carry and be able to touch-up small dings in tables & furniture

bullet

Be able to effectively communicate any delivery or service problems with your supervisor or the manufacturer

bullet

Ride and work with spa technicians & study & become proficient with the manufacturer's trouble shooting guides

bullet

Become proficient with the field service invoices, warranty tags and procedures

Required Background Experience:

bullet

High school diploma or GED

bullet

Familiarity with the computer keyboard and basic computer skills

bullet

Clean driving record with three years minimum successful driving experience

bullet

Basic fork lift truck, farm equipment or excavation equipment operational experience a plus

bullet

Experience driving a vehicle while towing & backing a trailer a plus

bullet

Warehousing, shipping and receiving experience a plus

bullet

Spa and hot tub maintenance experience a plus

bullet

Electrical wiring & electrical and mechanical trouble shooting a plus

bullet

Billiard Mechanic and furniture delivery & assembly experience a plus

bullet

Plumbing experience a plus

bullet

Retail and customer care experience a plus

Personal Abilities:

Able to maintain your personal appearance neatly shaven & clothed & maintain good personal hygiene

bullet

Able to lift heavy objects 100 Lbs plus and in good physical health

bullet

Good with basic hand tools & good a mechanical aptitude

bullet

Own basic hand tools and purchase those required to perform the job

bullet

Highly motivated and an effective worker regularly able to meet and exceed daily goals

bullet

Able to be a self starter if working alone and able to show co-workers & customers what needs to be done

bullet

Able to effectively organize physical items and tasks and to adapt to frequent changes in the daily schedule 

bullet

Able to pick-up where you left off and to keep working towards the completion of any project on time

Able to effectively communicate with gestures, verbally, in writing, by radio & electronically

Compensation:

        Salary based on experience.
